It’s the perfect kind of spot for those afternoons or evenings when you want hearty, honest food without fuss, paired with attentive service that feels genuinely welcoming rather than rushed.
While Duck’s may not chase the latest food trends, the menu carries its own thoughtful rhythm, echoing the comfort of classic American bar and grill fare with a few hometown twists. Whether you’re digging into wings that strike a balancing act between crispy and juicy, savoring the nostalgic pull of a pepperoni or specialty pizza, or indulging in a grilled cheese with a bit of a kick, it all feels grounded in straightforward, satisfying flavors. There’s a warmth in the way the dishes are prepared—a kind of steady dedication to comfort that shows up in generous portions and carefully balanced tastes.
What makes Duck’s more than just a place to eat is how it embraces its role as a community cornerstone. Service here carries a friendly, familiar tone, the kind that invites repeat visits and a sense of belonging rather than formality. This is where you come not just for a meal but for the quiet rhythm of a shared local experience—whether it’s settling in for the game or catching up over a plate of food that hits just right after a long day.
Ultimately, Duck’s On Farmington Rd. offers a grounded, welcoming space that feels true to its West Peoria roots—easygoing, approachable, and knit tightly into the fabric of its community.

A really unique place with a lot of history. One of the Shelton Brothers met his end at this location. The Sheltons kept Capone out of Peoria. The pizza was good. A good thin crust that was done. The cheese was done as well. They go a bit heavy on the cheese. Overall, very nice. The staff was great. Friendly bunch. We ordered some nachos too, but they were not what I was expecting. Cozy, faux rustic place.

Duck's on Farmington Rd. Review Duck’s offers a laid-back, classic bar-and-grill vibe with hearty portions and friendly service. Known for its burgers, wings, and cold drinks, it’s a popular local hangout for casual meals or watching the game. The atmosphere is unpretentious, and prices are reasonable. While it may not be fancy, it delivers consistent comfort food and a welcoming feel. Great spot for a relaxed night out.

The BEST chicken strips around! Tender, juicy and a great crunchy crisp! The chili is amazing on the chili cheese fries! The fries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Pizza was phenomenal! The Shelton’s CBR (chicken bacon ranch) is a fabulous choice. The decor was rustic and contemporary. The bathrooms were clean. We are coming back! Service was friendly and fast.

Food was very good! First time having duck fries and they did not disappoint! Also had the quesadilla and there was a large portion of chicken in each piece. Server was very helpful with my nut allergy as well will definitely go back.
